Adult day care is a form of non-residential care for elderly adults who are physically and mentally challenged. This type of care can be daily, weekly, or part-time and often includes social activities. Facilities funded with HUD 232 and HUD 232/223(f) loans cannot have more than 20% of their space occupied by, or derive more than 20% of their income from adult day care or independent living units.
